Mr Marc Allen Parich (“Mr Marc Parich”), an American, aged 50, was appointed to the Board of AmMetLife Insurance Berhad on 11 July 2025 as a Non-Independent Executive Director.

Mr Marc Parich is currently the Head of Strategy and Government Relations, Asia at MetLife Asia Ltd. In his strategy role, he helped lead the design and delivery of the region’s strategy refresh in 2024, with a focus on identifying new initiatives to drive further growth and value. He is now focused on supporting the successful execution of those initiatives.

As head of government relations, he leads a team focused on driving policy advocacy outcomes to grow and protect MetLife’s businesses spanning Northeast Asia, South Asia, and Southeast Asia. This includes designing and driving government relations strategies to expand market access for distribution channels and products, and to shape rules to support capital efficiency, solvency, trade and investment.

Mr Marc Parich has been with MetLife for 12 years, having previously served as Chief of Staff for MetLife’s Asia region, and Vice President of Government Relations based in Washington, D.C.

Before joining MetLife, Mr Marc Parich was Vice President of a global public affairs firm, APCO Worldwide, where he assisted multinational businesses with developing and executing government relations programs to facilitate their business strategies internationally.

Earlier in his career, he was an international trade manager for the agriculture conglomerate, The Charoen Pokphand Group, where he helped build and manage the trade operations of the firm’s operations in Fujian, Henan and Guizhou, China.

Mr Marc Parich currently sits on the Boards of AmMetLife Takaful Berhad and MetLife Insurance Company of Korea, Ltd.

Mr Marc Parich holds a M.A. in Asian Studies and International Economics from the Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS) and a B.A. from Kenyon College. He is also proficient in Mandarin and Thai.
