Mr Jeremy Lee Eng Huat
Independent Non-Executive Director

Mr Lee Eng Huat, Jeremy (“Mr Jeremy Lee”), a Malaysian, aged 62, was appointed to the Board of AmMetLife Insurance Berhad on 19 September 2025 as an Independent Non-Executive Director. He is the Chairman of the Risk Management Committee and a Member of the Audit and Examination Committee and Nomination and Remuneration Committee of the Company. 

Mr Jeremy Lee had been with Bank Negara Malaysia (“BNM”) for 33 years and held various senior leadership positions. Amongst others, he was the General Counsel of BNM, Director of the Financial Intelligence Unit, Director of the Special Investigation Unit and the Director of the Consumer and Market Conduct Department. 

Mr Jeremy Lee is a partner at Messrs Jason Teoh & Partners since January 2022. He is widely sought after to provide legal advisory services on laws and regulations enforced by the regulatory and supervisory authorities of the financial sector in Malaysia. 

Mr Jeremy Lee is currently an Independent Non-Executive Director of Export-Import Bank of Malaysia Berhad. 

Mr Jeremy Lee holds a Bachelor of Economics and Bachelor of Jurisprudence from University of Malaya. He also holds a Master of Laws (LL.M in Banking and Financial Laws) from Boston University School of Law, Massachusetts, USA and Certificate of Legal Practice from the Legal Profession Qualifying Board, Malaysia. Mr Jeremy Lee was admitted as an Advocate and Solicitor of the High Court of Malaya in 2020.
